Tom Lehrer, was a respected Harvard mathematics teacher by day and a highly influential participant in the "sick comedy" revolution of the 1960s. Lehrer left the entertainment industry many years ago and he is now more than 80 years old and is quoted as saying that he is trying to bypass maturity. One of the reasons why he gave up his music career was that he became tired of hearing and playing his own songs repeatedly. He has also said: Political satire became obsolete when they awarded Henry Kissinger the Nobel Peace Prize. I love his work and unfortunately it still makes sense. If you want to listen and look at some of his work you find a Tom Lehrer player from YouTube below and further down in this short article you find a Tom Lehrer Zapper from DailyMotion enabling you to zap between the most relevant videos by him. In this song, Who's Next, there are no answers but one thing is obvious. This trend is not our friend. Leadership is not about winning. It is about acting responsible and intelligent. Have fun and listen to Tom Lehrer and his sick comedy. One of the ideas with Alm 2010 is to present enough subjective news to make Alm 2010 objective. A Multi-Subjective news site!? Alm 2010 is a non-commercial site and if you do not want me to publish something specific just tell me. I hope 2009 has started good for you.
