Talking Heads was a New Wave band formed in 1974 in New York City and active until 1991. The band comprised David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison. The avant-garde musical style of Talking Heads combined elements of punk rock, new wave, pop, funk, world music and art rock. Frontman and songwriter David Byrne emphasized their showmanship through various multimedia projects and performances.

In 2002, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Studio albums: Talking Heads: 77 (1977), More Songs About Buildings and Food (1978), Fear of Music (1979), Remain in Light (1980), Speaking in Tongues (1983), Little Creatures (1985), True Stories (1986) and Naked (1988).

With songs like "Burning Down the House", "Psycho Killer" and "Once in a Lifetime" it does not come as a surprise that artists like Bonnie Raitt, The Dave Matthews Band, The Cardigans and Smashing Pumpkins has done cover versions.

At the Smorgasbord they are presented with the aim of creating objectivity through multi-subjectivity. Alm 2010 is not a commercial site but I let Google show ads. My opinion is that ads bring value to the visitors. It is sometimes difficult to know what the owners of certain content want/allow you to do.
